Greetings in the name of our Dear Lord Jesus Christ.
The annual children’s Rally of the Religious Education Board (REB) will be held on 28th of August, 2010, at Alaveddy.
Children ministry in church is a prime and important ministry of the church. These children when they grow, they form a God fearing human race and conduct a disciplined Christian life. Therefore we try to organize the children rally as an unforgettable, enjoyable moment in the life of our children which will help them to keep the memories of Children Rally, its competitions, songs and Bible memory verses in their heart for ever.
We expect a minimum of 500 children would gather from all of our churches in Jaffna Peninsula. We have various competitions with one objective: conscientize the children with the word of God. The competitions are in Bible quiz for 3 different age groups, - Tamil Lyrics & English Hymns Group singing, Tamil Solo Singing, Essay Competitions, Drawing and Bible Memory verses.
The Religious Education Board intends to give either cash prizes or any Christian products with certificates to the first three winners of all the competitions. But for the Bible Verses Memory competition, all successful competitors will be awarded cash prizes. The prizes alone would cost us SLRs.50, 000/. Other than this we have to entertain all the children attending the Rally with Tea and short eats.
In this regard, we decided to appeal our friends and well wishers for their generous support. It may not possible for an individual to meet all of our needs, but are free to choose a part of the expenditure. You can even introduce a new challenge trophy for a competition with money vouchers in memory of your beloved people. We have given the budget below for your consideration.
We expect Prayer, financial, Physical and moral support from the parents, Friends and well wishers to carry out this ministry among Children in an effective way.
